Devotion of Patriotic Sweats and Efforts

PhD and Ass. Prof. O Un Gyong, a section chief at Pyongyang University of Architecture, is a woman educator and scientist of high practical ability who has devoted her wisdom and enthusiasm to development of green building materials for the last 33 years.

She was thanked by General Secretary Kim Jong Un on 4 occasions for her “Study on Prevention of Granite Discoloration” and a series of other solutions to scientific and technological issues, and made a positive contribution to scientific development of the country by authoring over 10 textbooks and reference books of high value, including “Introduction to Green Building Materials” and “Techniques of Surface Treatment of Finishing Decorative Materials”, and hundreds of essays.

Her unreserved patriotic devotion to development and prosperity of the country was given wide publicity by Korean Central TV, Ryongnamsan TV and Rodongsinmun Daily on several occasions, and in November, Juche 102(2013) she had the great honor of participating in the National Conference of Scientists and having a souvenir picture taken with General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

She now continues to dedicate all her wisdom and enthusiasm to education and scientific research with a firm determination to live up with greater educational and scientific achievements to the warm affection and care of the Party which has given prominence to her as a PhD and an Associate Professor.
