People’s Teacher Choe Yong Ae

Choe Yong Ae, headmistress of Toksong Primary School in Phyongsong City, affiliated to Phyongsong Teachers Training College, is a veteran educator of high ability who has sincerely devoted her whole life to education.

Her life spanning 49 years has passed at the same school.

While working as the head of a department, the deputy headmistress and now the headmistress of the school, she had made strenuous efforts to educate the teachers to dedicate their all to education with high sense of responsibility for future of rising generations, and to improve their qualification as educators.

When the universal 12-year compulsory education was first enforced according to the far-reaching plan of the Workers’ Party of Korea, she made the country one of the leading schools of the country, which gives high level of primary school education, and played an important part in ensuring that the school won the title of Triple Honored Red Flag School.

In full appreciation of her devoted service to education of rising generations, the Party and the Government conferred the title of People’s Teacher on her in Juche 101(2012), and the title of Socialist Patriotic Meritorious Worker in Juche 106(2017).

Always keeping in mind the extraordinary honor of having had a souvenir picture taken with

General Secretary Kim Jong Un as one of the participants in the 14th National Conference of Teachers, she now unreservedly devotes her all to the implementation of the Party’s policy of making revolution in education in order to add luster to the valuable titles conferred on her by the country.
