Life of Genuine Educator
Merited Scientist, Professor and PhD Kim Yong Chol, a faculty dean of Phyongsong University of Coal Mining Industry, has devoted his whole life to education of the rising generations and scientific research with high ability and strict demand on himself. In his 30-odd-year-long teaching career of devotion, he wrote a hundred and scores of textbooks, reference books and essays, including “Design of Blasting for Removal of Concrete Foundation”, and contributed 3 essays, including “ANSYS Interpretation of Non-linear Finite Factors of Structure”, to SCI-class journals, thereby exalting the honor of the country.
In particular, he made a positive contribution to production of coal in the country by developing the rational blast layout in different lithological conditions, which is urgent in the coal mining industry.
In addition, he also developed and applied the new blasting method by combining linear and concentrated for demolition blasting and large-scale blasting of different structures and targets of great national significance, thus receiving scores of certificates for invention, and for national introduction and registration of scientific and technological achievements. He also trained scores of Doctors and Masters.
