Radical Improvement of Education in the New Century

One day in August, Juche 103(2014) General Secretary Kim Jong Un put forward the policy of radically improving education in the new century in his historic talk with the leading officials “Let us turn our country into a country of education, a talent power, by radically improving education in the new century”.

He said: Our Party has decided to make a new revolution in education with a view to consolidating the ever-lasting foundation of Juche revolution and make a leap forward in the building of a powerful and prosperous country. The goal of radical improvement of education in the new century is to turn the country into a socialist educational power by training all youth and students into reliable builders of a powerful nation and making all people well-versed in science and technology.

Now is the age of knowledge-based economy in which science and technology plays a decisive role in social development, an age of attaching primary importance to talented persons in which the national strength and development of the economy is determined by them.

The fierce flame of radical improvement of education in the new century was kindled up by the noble intention of General Secretary Kim Jong Un to turn our country into a country of education, a talent power by bringing about a fresh turn in the education of the country.

This is, indeed, the flame of patriotism which can be flared up only by General Secretary Kim Jong Un gifted with the high sense of responsibility and mission for the destiny and future of the country and people, and of fervent affection for the rising generations.
