Kwon Chang Dok, a Section Chief of Kim Chaek University of Technology, one of the Top Scientists ＆ Technicians of the Country in 2023.
Dr. and Associate Professor Kwon Chang Dok, a section chief of Mining Engineering Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology, had developed a method of cultivating paddy rice using electric impulse water treatment technology and introduced it to many farms across the country for the past nine years, thus making a distinguished contribution to the development of the country’s agriculture and improvement of the people’s living standard.
He found that the electric impulse water treatment technology, which has a high effect on flotation and leaching of nonferrous metal minerals, has a great influence on the growth of animals and plants by activating water. He set about the research work for applying the technology to livestock farming, fish farming and vegetable farming and tentatively started the cultivation of paddy rice in 500 phyong first. Then he rapidly increased the scale of rice cultivation every year so in 2023 he achieved a proud success in increasing the grain output on 100, 000 hectares of paddy fields.
He was highly appreciated by General Secretary
In those days, he was moved to a new apartment house in Kyongru-dong in April 2022, and he was invited to the celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK in September 2023 and had the greatest honor of having a photo taken with General Secretary
He is full of enthusiasm to devote his wisdom, talents and passion to the scientific research to open up a new path for the economic development of the country by dint of science and technology, always cherishing the trust and expectation of the Party and the country which put forward him as a top scientist ＆ technician of the country.
