In June Juche 102 (2013), General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited a machine factory.

When he was looking round a workshop, he suddenly asked if there was a system to send the data helpful to machine building.

An official reported to him that a related unit was sending them some data.

After a moment’s thought, he said that he would send all the data related to the manufacture of the machinery and equipment produced by the factory.

He stressed that the workers who manufactured machinery and equipment should not only read the latest sci-tech data but also watch video data explaining about what consequences would be entailed if they failed to improve its performance, only then would they redouble their efforts to improve the performance of machines and equipment and build them more qualitatively.

Cherishing deep in mind his teaching, the officials realized once again that science and technology were not only concerned with a few particular people.

At that time an official told him that they would read the materials related to the manufacture of machinery in the electronic library.

Then he said that they should build a building and use it in the factory, and that the name of the new building should be called the sci-tech learning space.

What General Secretary Kim Jong Un said that day was a precious teaching, which reflected the deep meaning that a greater success could be achieved when the workers, the producer masses, were firmly prepared to be possessors of modern science and technology.
