Fifteen Years at a Beloved School
Among the educators who are devoting their sincerity to the sacred and honourable teaching work of bringing up the future of the country rather than the happiness of the family and comfort of their own, is Paek Hyon A, a teacher of Ryukgyo Primary School in Phyongchon District.
It has been 15 years since she graduated from the university and started teaching, but today she is invariably adhering to two principles for teaching.
One is to absorb the practical teaching methods, techniques and principles, while carefully looking at the lessons of model teachers in the school and all over the country, and the other is to study teaching plans all the time on the way to school and house and in the leisure time of teaching.
She was able to devote her all to the teaching as it was the unshakable duty of an educator to love the sacred teaching work and train the students to be fine talents who would shoulder the future of powerful Korea.
Last year, she created a heuristic teaching method to give the theoretical understanding of the rules on the word pronunciation by skilfully controlling the thinking in keeping with the cognitive ability and preparedness of the pupils of the lower grade of primary schools. Thus she was appreciated by the Ministry of Education and achieved the successes in generalizing them across the country.
In this regard, she is now the holder of several New Teaching Method Registration Certificates, New Teaching Method Introduction Certificate, Experimental Devices & Teaching Aids Development Certificate and the title of October 8 Model Teacher.
