Excitement and Joy Flowing in Liberated Country Echo Today
The liberation of the country was a great event which the great desire and historic cause that the whole nation had long wished for had been achieved.
Since August 15, 1945, our people have discarded the chains of colonial slavery, regained their lost rights and seized the helm of history.
The farmhands, tenant farmers and day laborers who had barely managed to live in the past days, have become the proud masters of the country and devoted their all to the prosperity of the country in factories and rural areas.
The people who had not been the masters of the land, the people who had not been able to become the masters of labour, and who had regarded the pain and misfortune as their fatal fate, turned out to build a new society with a new appearance with the joy of their new life in the liberated country.
The newspapers carried the articles showing the enthusiasm of the working class who turned out in the building of a new country.
After liberation, we think that this is our work and our railways, and we volunteer to do our work before somebody asks us, so we don’t think of time and rationing. We first think of work rather than food or sleep.
Let’s rehabilitate the industry for the economic construction of the country by our own efforts!
The shock brigade movement started on February 21, which was launched by more than 650 employees. They have changed working in three shifts in the past into two shifts and have extended the working time by more than two hours, but their attendance is very good.

The people across the country, young and old, women and men, were full of a firm determination to eternally follow and glorify the brilliant people’s country, prosperous democratic Korea, with creation and labour.
