Juvenile Guards of Orphanage
On display at the Korean Revolution Museum are photos of the juvenile guards of Sonchon Orphanage who bravely fought against the enemies during the strategic temporary retreat period in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Orphans are often called as a symbol of misfortune and sorrow.
Moreover, during the war, orphans are considered as the first sufferers in every country.
But, in the Fatherland Liberation War, even the children of the orphanage volunteered to form the juvenile guards and turned out in the sacred war against the enemy. Why?
The orphans who had been abandoned like rubble stones before liberation were born again in the bosom of new Korea built by President
They hadn’t their parents, but they had the greatest and the most benevolent father in the world. He is just President
The aggressors who made a reckless attack to take this were the sworn enemies of the orphans.
At that time when our country was faced with severe trials, the children of Sonchon orphanage embarked on the road of struggle against the aggressors, not on the road of retreat, and brought about a brilliant victory, thus stunning the people.
They were not orphans but young masters of our republic as they had the motherland which was more precious than their lives, even though they had lost their parents.
The juvenile guards of orphanage are marching bravely in the van of the members of the Korean Children’s Union, the future masters of our republic.
