Bright Lights of Dormitory
It was one day a few years ago.
In the rooms of the dormitory in Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College, the lights weren’t going off deep at night.
Kim Ok, rector of the college, and other officials and lecturers visited the rooms of boarding students.
It was an uninterruptible routine of college officials and lecturers to visit the boarding students frequently and look after their living conditions.
That day, the officials and lecturers handed over school things and daily necessities to the students and asked them with parental affection whether they were ill or not.
The other day Rector Kim Ok had given precious medicine she had prepared for her own treatment to a student with a severe illness and the teaching staff of the university had sincerely prepared better food for the boarding students.
During school vacations and on holidays, Pak Kum Ju, Choe Yang Hwa and other lecturers naturally invite the boarding students to their houses and care for them first before their own children when they happen to have good daily necessities. Their devotion makes the boarding students resolve to study harder and grow into excellent educators in future.
That day, the lights in the dormitory rooms didn’t go off until deep at night, telling about the devoted efforts of the educators.
The bright lights of the dormitory were telling about our beautiful life of love and affection.
