Happiness under Warm Affection
Not long ago, we visited Wonsok Secondary School No. 1.
The headmaster of the school told us one of the stories about the sincere devotion of its teachers to improving their students’ academic achievements.
One day Han Kyong Sim, one of the teachers at the school, checked the progress of her class students in their study and came back to her room. She could not calm down herself as the heartbroken look of Maeng Jin Mu, one of her class students, came back into her eyes all the time.
When she had asked him why, he had answered that his father had suddenly fallen seriously ill the day before.
She felt pain in her heart to see him, once an excellent student, telling her the reason on the edge of tears.
And Han Kyong Sim made a firm determination in her mind to clear away the dark shade from his face as soon as possible.
When she called on Maeng Jin Mu that night, his mother could not hold back the tears of gratitude welling up in her eyes to see her deep at night, before expressing her pleasure to see her.
When Han Kyong Sim handed over the tonics to his mother, encouraging her to work hard together for the recovery of his father’s health, she felt a lump in her throat.

When Maeng Jin Mu’s mother met us, she said to us in tears: Best is our socialist motherland overflowing with mutual affection and care.
This is merely one of many stories about our beautiful life, but it eloquently shows the noble spirit of the people in our era who help and care for each other as one harmonious family.
