2022/07/03

Jo Song Gwang is a disabled soldier who was severely injured in the spine during his military service.

He graduated from Pyongyang University of Computer Technology through study-while-working system.

He now works as a technician at Paektusan Economic and Technological Agency.

He was involved in developing several programmes of high national importance.

He developed Revolutionary Songs Study and Dissemination Programme and presented it to the National IT Exhibition -2021.

How did he happen to involve himself in the development of programmes, though he is a disabled soldier?

He does not hesitate to give the following answer to the people who are very curious about his career:

“With deep insight into the hope of a common disabled soldier, the Workers’ Party of Korea ensured that I could finish the university course. Therefore, it is quite natural for me to devote all my wisdom and zeal for the Party and motherland.

I consider the programme development as a war for me. Computer is my weapon. I will make relentless efforts to perform with credit the responsibility and obligation of a soldier who defend the scientific and technological front with the rifle replaced with computer.”

Touching the heartstrings of all people is the inexhaustible enthusiasm, courage and spirit of this disabled programme developer who is determined to devote himself to further consolidating our ideological, scientific and technological positions with knowledge accumulated not through academic and professional career, but with faith.
