Future Promising Technical Talents of Practical Ability for Furniture Industry
Promising technical talents for furniture industry are trained at Pyongyang Technical College of Building Materials which is located in the center of Pyongyang, the capital of DPR Korea.
The Department of Furniture and Fixtures has selected the major subjects in such a way as to raise the capability of formative and structural designing on the basis of the acquirement of such basic knowledge as graphics, drawing, architectural sketching and woodcraft, and is now increasing the students’ capability of computer- aided designing and production of furniture.
It has put the method of 5-D designing method of furniture on a scientific basis, and it now trains the technical talents who are capable of formative and technical designing and production of modern furniture as required by customers.
In 2019 the students of the college presented their designs and children’s furniture to the National Furniture and Acoustic Fittings Exhibition and were awarded the grand prix.
