First of all, they deepened the research of applying modern educational science to educational assessment to find out students’ talents and assess scientifically, thus made some progress.
Bearing the viewpoint and attitude to keep their feet firmly planted on their land and look out over the world, O Chun Gyong, the chief of educational science institute, Kin Jin Ju, the researcher and Kim Song Il, the researcher of the juvenile educational science institute explored vigorously to apply a robot to educational assessment which has been a tendency in educational development all across the world, thus produced a human-typed robot.
That is not all they did but introduced the assessing method of children’s intelligence using artificial intelligence technology in connection with experts in pedagogy and psychology. What’s more, they promoted the abilities of the robot to teach children quick arithmetic and introduce educational assessing methods to visitors.
Also, they created and introduced a combined educational method via robotics for primary students to acquire all-round knowledge by making robots by themselves.
Pak Je Hyok, the head of the Research Institute for Children’s Educational Technology, Ri Mun Yong, the head of the Research Institute for Children’s Educational Science, Pae Song Je, the head of the IT department and Choe Jong Ok have introduced the STEM education method with the robot education that is one of the world’s trend of educational development, fit with our situation, and they have deepened the research to introduce it on higher level to develop the educational robot suit to the aged and psychological character of the primary school children.
Bearing the ardent enthusiasm to thoroughly carry out the policy of the Supreme Leader who taught to start the robot education at kindergartens and primary schools of the whole country, they offered their endless speculation and strenuous efforts to put the research index by process needed for the design, manufacture and completion of the children’s robot on the firm foundation in the way of the educational science and educational technology.
Next, at Pyongyang Teachers Training College, they have introduced the abacus education, which attracts the people’s attention in the world because it has a big educational effect in developing children’s right-sided brain, and they have established the success that enrich the method of developing children’s intelligence.
Kim Jong A, the head of the room for spreading the development of the children’s intelligence, Cha Un Byol, the head of the information room, Kim Won Hyang, the researcher of the research institute for the children’s educational science have studied the abacus that has a long history and tradition, and they have deepened the study to proceed the abacus education suit to the aged and psychological character of the primary school children and they have written the reference book for the abacus education of the children that helps their right-sided brain develop during the practice of the screen memorizing.
Besides, in order not to make the new educational content and methods leave as the letters in the textbooks to the reference books but to make it take effects in the education practice, they practically gave the abacus education to the children of the Kwangbok Primary School, their subsidiary school.
During these days they have proved the educational effectiveness of the abacus education that plays in developing their right-sided brain, and they have made the scientific foundation that can be generalized in the kindergartens and primary schools.
