National IT Achievements Exhibition-2019 Held

National IT Achievements Exhibition was held in the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium from November 1 to 7.

On display in the exhibition were over 1 600 pieces of information-oriented and IT achievements and IT products presented by committees, ministries, central organs, scientific research and educational institutes, IT model units, information industry units, and other organs and enterprises.

In the exhibition under the theme of “Zeal for digital economy and IT”, various kinds of sub-exhibitions, an artificial intelligence programmes competition, a programming competition, a presentation meeting of new products and technologies and a robots soccer game were conducted and IT exchange service provided.

In the exhibition, products made with world top-10 advanced IT including technologies of operating systems, large data, recognition and computer vision, and successes achieved in the course of putting production processes on an automatic and intelligent basis, and home-made communication and measuring equipment gained in popularity. There were also many education information systems and educational software which would be conducive to making education IT-oriented.

Artificial Intelligence Technology Institution under Information Science Faculty of Kim Il Sung University, IT Institution of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Wonsan Shoes Factory, Haebangsan Hotel, PIC, Achim Computer Joint Venture of Ministry of Electronics Industry and others were chosen as IT model units and the Best IT Enterprise, while exemplary units, participants and products were awarded the championship banner, diplomas, certificates, medals, and gifts.

The exhibition served as a good opportunity to produce more valuable IT successes conducive to establishing a social climate of prioritizing numbers and IT, accelerating the development of IT industry and revitalizing the national economy.
